Dievas Vortex Professional Watch Review Wrist Time Reviews

The use of blued-steel hands is a proper to match the theme of the watch. The hour and minute hands are "pomme" style and two other types of hands are used for the retrograde and subdials. Again, more kudos to Chronoswiss for a good-looking dial design with all the right elements being taken into consideration. Legibility and beauty are taken into consideration with the only compromise being the lack of lume.

The Grand Holiday Watch Giveaway For 2011 Giveaways

The curved case style is meant fit over one's wrist nicely. It is also considered a technical difficulty to design a movement that is wrapped in this manner. I haven't put the watch on my wrist yet, but it looks comfortable and like a very cool bracelet. Reading it is simple and the large exposed balance wheel is a treat to watch. On the front and sides of the watch are sapphire crystals for a series of really clear views in to the movement. Finishing and decor is rather nice and the overall concept seems satisfying.

Corum Grand Precis Watch Hands-On Hands-On

Wait a minute, de GRISOGONO is thinking along those lines already! Look at that oddly placed gold plate on the dial at 7 o'clock. Engraved right on there in power cursive is "Power Breaker." Screw the lighting letters, they already have the text done for you! de GRISOGONO really does think of everything.

Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Shadow Watch Review

Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Shadow Watch Review

In 2011 this watch is really cool. In 2003 when this watch first came out... it was really cool. This is the Tag Heuer Monaco Automatic Sixty Nine. It was like a futuristic Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso as Tag Heuer transformed the Monaco case into something that flipped around. It does this while the watch is still on your wrist - which is probably the best part.

I admire the decoration on the movement and the rotor for the price, and that the brand takes the movement seriously. The watch itself is very classic and simple. The idea is for it to be easy to live with, comfortable, and traditional in appearance. Instead of just being a three-hand watch, it tells the time (no seconds), and the date. The layout and choice might be a bit quirky, but the brand needed to separate themselves from everyone else who was doing an in-house movement. I assumed (and still assume), that the movement will serve as a base for future complications. Perhaps in 2011 we will see that. 2010 didn't see too much new "in-house" action on the Frederique Constant side, but sister brand Alpina did have some in-house movements to show off.

World of Watches Loves The Swiss Legend Challenger: Sporty Style at Super Savings.

What I like about Temption aside from their design is the focus on utility and quality. These are nicely made pieces that feel good on the wrist and look like they were designed using Feng Shui. According to Temption, the design process melds German Bauhaus with Japanese concepts of balance and a mixture of technical and organic aesthetics. While not for everyone, most of Klaus's designs are attractive in my opinion do balance form and function very well (as well as value).

The Ghost is fun, that pretty much sums it up. People are gonna complain about the strange shape and the screens that go from pink to purple to green to red. Jacob's Jacob probably just sits back and smiles. He thrives off the high-end, high-risk, and highly original. The Ghost is really a timepiece that brand can call their own - and I swear I do want to wear one. www.jacobandco.com

Omega Speedmaster Pro DLC

During the height of the most modern economic boom, Romain Jerome was little more than a quirky brand that sold golf-themed timepieces. The problem was that most golfers didn't want to wear a watch (or a bulky one) while playing the game. The owners brought in Yvan Arpa who decided to create a watch that combined a few things: luxury, rarity, and unattainability. It also had to involve something that people all over the world would know about. An idea he settled on was the most famous sunken ship ever, the Titanic.

Inside the watch is a Swiss ETA A07.171 Valgranges movement (which is newer and made for larger watch cases). The neon green watch hands looks like psychedelic versions of those on Patek Philippe Nautilius or Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watches (well aside from the pointed tip).

Raymond Weil Nabucco 2011 Watch Hands-On Hands-On

The X-TREM-1 case is 40.80mm wide by 56.80mm tall. At 15mm thick the overall package is quite reasonably sized being not too large or small. I look forward to getting it on my wrist soon. One thing I like about Claret's case designs are the slick angles and elegant curves. Whereas something like an MB&F is very machine inspired, and an URWERK is very modern industrial inspired, Christophe Claret pieces have an old-world charm that have been modernized but retain the grace of a Delage automobiles (for instance). You don't have to love all of his stuff, but the brand does "slick" nicely.

Moonwatch Only Book Review on Fratello Watches

For those like me who need a little art in their lives daily, you'll have no problem finding many watches that move you just like a masterpiece in paint.

My intent was to offer a very simple plug and play system that doesn't require any fussing around. The aBlogtoRead.com Watch Winder by Wolf Designs is based on their Cub Winder single watch winder system. You plug it in, put your watch on the cuff, and turn it on. The winder winds in both directions and requires no extra thought or settings. Perfect for the vast majority of automatic watches out there. Real easy - just how I like it.

Inside the RSW Diving Tool Camo watches is a Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic movement. Pretty standard, but fine. I think that the price of these watches is actually quite fair, and if you recall these Camo versions of the Diving Tool watches are limited edition pieces. According to RSW there will be 49 pieces for each dial - I don't know if that means 49 total, or 49 for the PVD versions, and PVD for the naked steel versions. The limited edition number of the collection is right on the dial. Note how the watch render below is a mistake because they use the Camo three-hand dial on an RSW Diving Tool Chronograph watch case.
